What a day. Getting to climb one of the engine test stands and see both brand-new RS-25 engines and engines reused from the Space Shuttle program was incredible. Together, the four RS-25s on each Artemis SLS produce 8.8 million pounds of thrust!

During our recent #NASASocial at #NASAMichoud, the group got the chance to take a short drive over to @NASAStennis! They viewed the RS-25 engines that will be used for Artemis III, IV, and V and toured the test stand where these engines are hot fire tested!
The Artemis III Core Stage Rollout Timelapse!
It takes way more than a rocket to launch Artemis.
Around 150 people make up the core launch team on launch day, with hundreds more supporting across engineering, mission control, and operations.
Behind that, thousands of people and suppliers help build the rocket, spacecraft, boosters, engines, and service module that make the mission possible.
