Today my son an I did a thing - we took a video of the @Space_Station with @astro_matthias in it. The video is in visible light, the still in H-alpha.

The whole thing was quite an adventure

Trotz ☁️☁️ konnte ich gestern mit in der Schule die #Sonnenfinsternis zeigen und sogar ein paar Bilder machen.
War echt toll, könnte man eigentlich jedes Jahr machen 😎
@HdAstro@DLR_next könnt ihr da was machen?
Two Finnish men 'annexed' a Russian diplomat's parking spot in the Finland’s city of Turku, by painting it with the Ukrainian flag.
They called it the result of a "2-man referendum" on "annexing" the spot. The city announced it would not paint over it.
@AndySaunders_1 That depends how you define fly - in Speyer, Germany is a Buran equipped with engines, which was used for flight experiments.
But that one had not been to space though.
@GigaBecquerel Nice one - I guestimated the circumference to 2m. This would result in 2500 kg per meter length 😳
(Scrap prices seem to be be 1-3€ per kg)
@Plag0n@fermatslibrary If memory serves right, the faked results started before his time there.
There is a whole book about this case: Plastic Fantastic
@xkcd I know the feeling - one only wants to mind his one business and take a picture of a celestial body (in my case the sun), and out of the blue a plane appears 🤬
@GregDavill Assuming 2/3 the speed of light (which ist reasonable for optical fiber) 800km takes 4ms.
Back and forth are 8ms.
A bit of routing and switching in between there you have it.
18ms are not bad!
