In 2021, Texas's energy grid suffered blackouts and was only 4 minutes away from total failure. It could have taken weeks to fully restore it. In September of this year, it came close to blackout yet again.

I've often wondered why there aren't more good round buildings, my knowledgeable friend @SCP_Hughes tried to explain it to me like this.

Because they are ‘retreating shapes’ they can’t be experienced as ‘facing’ the viewer in the same way that flat facades can
