No, the 'message' seems to be that you and too many others with a sizeable reach saw 'white defendant' and decided that's all the information you needed. And it's making us all dumber.
@MHickman96@WeAreFairCop I'm not joking here, a non crime hate incident got more attention than a burglary. It went on a "high-harm" workflow that had to be supervised by an Inspector regularly. The "victim" was entitled to enhanced aftercare that a "mere" burglary victim wasn't due to the "hate" element
@MHickman96@WeAreFairCop Yes indeed. I had no idea when I was a copper that such incidents came up on people's records in an enhanced disclosure. It's utterly wrong in every way. Plus, the very idea that police investigate "non-crime incidents" is nonsense.
@pcstru @Thomas07355532 @holland_tom The Roman Catholic church was far from silent, it supported the Nazis. The first pact he ever signed was with the Catholic church, they celebrated his birthday in church, and assisted numerous war criminals to escape justice after the war.
@HardcoreHistory Is it possible to purchase the Blueprint to Armageddon series on CD? My father was a history professor and regular visitor to WW1 battlefields and would LOVE this series, but isn't aufait with podcasts sadly.
@CowboyDeebop Well spotted! Slight spelling error and the notification that you'd replied hadn't appeared in my phone, so thought I could get away with it. Fail.
@CowboyDeebop@i_lostmyhead@FondOfBeetles@GaryLineker Of course they aren't! My point is, that if there are consequences for freedom of speech (as there are for murder and any criminal offence), then it isn't full freedom of speech. It's freedom with significant caveats.
@CowboyDeebop@i_lostmyhead@FondOfBeetles@GaryLineker I'll simplify it for you then. Let's go on a journey together down the the criminal severity scale, until we reach an offence other than murder that you no longer find disengenuous. Then your brain will have landed on the point ๐
@i_lostmyhead@FondOfBeetles@GaryLineker That is not freedom of speech. That's the same as saying there is freedom to murder but we must at accept the consequences.
@Jus19933@axainsurance Same here. Try phoning and always on hold for at least an hour. Not once have they contacted me when they said that would. Utterly appalling service.
