@thespartanguide @beyondreasdoubt I’m not a fan overall, but beyond WW2 where he was pretty incredible, I think FDR should get credit for tamping down the threat of the American left. He came into office after Hoover had really messed up the country and his positive program sidelined a growing Communist movement.

@jon_stokes The only way you make that work politically is by reducing property taxes. Property taxes are a big deal and if you can promise a certain offset you’ll get support. Even (especially?) from the homeschoolers who are pissed about the latest tax for the football pro… er school.
