@Schornack@commbankerguy We run cyclical a business and profitability is peaking. Speaking my own book and from what I have heard from other larger public banks as well, NIM is directionally challenged without more rate cuts. Throw that on top of continued credit “normalization” and you get 10x
@shortbus_ace Are forward earnings materially impacted? If not why would the stocks be punished? I think by now the public has become numb to these incidents and notices
@thebankzhar@TimyanBankAlert $BANR is smarter than that, but I also thought Clint/ $colb had his head on his shoulders but that was before he became CEO and went on a spree
@thebankzhar@TimyanBankAlert $SFBC has credit union take out written all over it. Been a cruddy bank for a long time. 5% roe and 50bp ROA doesn’t deserve to trade at tbv
@thebankzhar@TimyanBankAlert All about picking the right spots and I top ticked it. From a price and earnings perspective. Looks like starting to come back around as of late. I do wonder what the real earn back is now on their large bond loss trade they took in ‘23 or so.
@thebankzhar@TimyanBankAlert Bought a baby position of $cshx when I was active and forgot about it. One of my worst small cap bank purchases. Thought they would have sold by now so threw in the towel. Bought November 2021 and sold December 2025. Net profit, $1.54. follow me for more take out ideas💩
@shortbus_ace@CorpusCol Spreads are so tight right now on bank sub debt and in general. I looked at HBT sub debt the other month, great bank but I’m not buying at just over a 2% spread
