Fantastic day watching impressive 3 Minute Thesis presentations at Deakin University’s School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences. Congratulations to the winner @NancyRiversTran and runner up @TheaBaker both from @DEAKINIPAN. Thea also won people’s choice award.🌟🏆

1/3 - This brief Medscape article highlights the importance of #exercise for #bone & #osteoporosis but some of the information is incorrect! https://t.co/bnseJJfwtB
2/3 - There is no sound evidence jumping, running & jogging are harmful to bone! Golf, tennis, bowling are also ok but just need to encourage safe movements. Further, walking & low impact aerobics have little/no benefit on bone (but recommended for CV heath).
3/3 - It is great that an MD is promoting exercise in this commentary as we need more GPs etc.. to promote ex. but when it comes to specific recommendations perhaps best to rely on those with relevant expertise/training - accredited exercise physiologists/physio‘s @ESSA_NEWS
