Still, the pace of change is simply not enough. We might get 2km of new bike lanes this year; Stanley Park and Broadway removed 18km alone.

@PeterMeiszner @VisionZeroYVR Why did the city proceed with building the dangerous non-separated sidewalk along Cornwall that few people will likely use instead of following council direction to investigate protected active transportation lanes on Cornwall? Traffic speeds MUCH safer with only 1 lane.

Hi @dave_eby @Rob_Fleming @GeorgeHeyman Yet another reason why you need to mandate protected active transportation lanes on Broadway and other arterial streets. Really hard to keep safe cycling access on narrow side streets during construction and other disruptions.

@PeterMeiszner @agschick @GlobalBC @globalpope @FCM_online @TO_Cycling_Ped According to ICBC, 10th Ave has the highest number of bicycle/motor vehicle crashes of any road in Vancouver, probably in BC. Certainly NOT great. It will likely cost more to make it safer and more comfortable than it will to add protected cycling lanes to Broadway.
