The wheels of justice can seem to turn slowly; esp. when activity is occurring out of public view...but their continues to be an active law enforcement investigation surrounding "The Farm" (abuse, forced labor, prophetic manipulation & cult-like control).

It’s pretty much daily now; a new person reaching out to me with grave concerns about “the farm”, in Holden, Missouri.

Is it a dangerous end-times prepping #cult? Several former members tell me they believe it is.

What I do know for sure? There are at least 3 different alleged victims of grooming and SA, and 2 different abusers. And Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating.

#HarvestHomeMissouri did not respond to my requests for comment; instead released a statement via FB calling the claims “attacks” and suggesting they are all lies. 🧐

@AlyssaDegraff @realprophetguy oh gosh...our church put on a huge performance to this and Bullfrogs and Butterfly's. Everybody was kind of hippy dippy in our congregation, so it was pretty laid-back, and still a great memory for me. I used to sing the Patience song to my kids - lol!

@JenniferVerdery 2/2: some worship leaders, including ME, were hounded & stalked regularly by people convinced they were going to marry them. We knew of two of those individuals, and their fantasies were at an obsessive level, so I imagine any celibacy message looked all the more enticing.

@JenniferVerdery 1/2: I thought the idea was whack-a-doo, but friends who knew her better said it was very much her idea; she was someone who seemed to know her own mind.
I also remember being told a couple women took a vow of celibacy to push back on the constant pursuit. Sounds bizarre, but

@JenniferVerdery The consecrated virgin choice was very influenced by the Catholic (E. Orthodox) mystics being venerated at IHOP at the time, but there has been a practice of christian monasticism for women in the Lutheran, Shaker & Anglican traditions.

@ScottMColeman @SRClaridgeWrite I read another post by the person who wrote this...she indicated that her dad never stopped warning people away from IHOP....that the victim (not a minor at the time) begged him not to say anything. He still went to MB and confronted it.

and yet again, we are hearing mainly from men. (So typical of my decade at IHOP.)
