@SebC__ It looked to me like he was very consciously trying to get his body shape right when defending 1v1 out wide. Don’t think that translated to any tangible improvement, didn’t look natural, but it’s something that differs from your initial analysis/earlier performances this season.
@xJBeach@Jxmo_1 Fuse being useless is actually healthy for the game but there wouldn’t be anything stopping them keeping his passive and doubling up per nade slot. It actually makes him significantly more useful in comp in that scenario.
@OllieGlanvill Isn't this his second squad? I read he left one of his son's out of the squad entirely in his first match. I know Amorim had both of them on the bench in some of his final games and one came on as a sub. Given the context, it didn't sound like they were getting special treatment.
@SebC__@JonEvans57 It can also be a massive ego trip. Especially for those who were too shit to play (scales relative to level). Putting themselves 'above' players that are better than they were makes them feel good.
@Riley_Aster@BalvarineFPS I’ve not actually played the competitive modes in the Finals, so couldn’t say. The idea was actually somewhat inspired by what Rocket League have/had. Tournaments every few hours tied to rank, outcome from tournaments grants you currency to spend in their tournament shop.
@BalvarineFPS Then introduce a tournament reward shop that allows you to earn currency from tournaments and trade it for cosmetics. Or you could have a combined currency for ranked + tournaments and have a combined ranked shop instead of just end of season badges etc.
@BalvarineFPS Tournament mode could use something similar to ALGS point system. Use your current rank to qualify you for certain tournaments. Have them start every X hours on rotation. 4 game sets that you have to accept a prompt before entering and heavily penalises anyone that leaves.
@ChicagoDmitry Not sure about Maresca not removing value though. I think there’s a lot of player mis-profiling and evidence of an inability to coach improved team play fundamentals in young players (this presents as an increase in ‘individual errors’ imo).
@ChicagoDmitry More pertinently than not having the squad imo, there’s not the personnel/structure above the manager to be successful. Why burn bridges with a top manager when there’s no coherent route to success visible at this point.
@SebC__ ‘The Bullshit Asymmetry Principle, also known as Brandolini's Law, states that the amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than that needed to produce it’ - I think about this when I read your tweets and wonder where you get the energy from
@SonOfChelsea Tyrique George has deserved so many more mins than he’s been given over the last 2 seasons. Too many mins undeservingly gifted to Sancho/Mudryk/Garnacho/Gittens.
@KierDoyle @SebC__ Sports hernia/pubalgia doesn’t automatically equal a groin injury. They are descriptors of symptoms, not a diagnosis. The terms give zero insight into root cause, treatment, return to play timeline/protocols. It’s really poorly understood even at the highest level of football.
@KierDoyle @SebC__ I can’t see the original tweet because it’s deleted, so I might be lacking context, but a sports hernia is not a hernia (internals creating a bulge in muscle/tissue through weakness). It’s a misleading name. Pubalgia & sports hernia are the same, fairly useless, terms.
