Our social media communication continues to be on mastodon (same user name, on fediscience), but here is an ad for a new #postdocposition in sensorimotor learning and control. Get in touch for more info! Location = #Seattle
Not sure who is still here accepting/tolerating/supporting all the X ridiculousness, but be like all Dutch universities and join us on Mastodon. We are at @[email protected] !
@paulgribble Why Jack in the sky is not a better solution than this X madness with its ongoing encouragement of hate speech and new privacy issues (an environment we don't want to be in other than to encourage you to get out too): https://t.co/PaNq7bI2Rf
For those of you who feel uncomfortable with even more disturbing new info about this platform (and also the one in the sky), we invite you once again to join us on mastodon. Find us at @[email protected]
Hope to see you there soon!
#stuttering#research#speech
As you may know, we are not posting meaningful info here anymore. We do that on Mastodon. Why, you ask? Here is one reason in a clear thread by Danielle Navarro and others: https://t.co/KL4vL6O6D4
Graduating PhD student or postdoc at #NCMVic23 ? Ask Hantao Wang about this open postdoc position in our lab. He will be presenting poster 4-F-53 today Friday!
https://t.co/g2rJPOxryQ
At #NCMVic23, PhD student Hantao Wang will have a poster on Fri describing how he is leveraging DBS implants with sensing technology to record from human subcortical nuclei during sensorimotor adaptation. Check it out and meet Hantao at poster 4-F-53.
@z0mbie_chic @D_Bone It's not the article though. He is misrepresenting the article. The authors specifically state that the findings cannot be interpreted that way.

At #NCMVic23 our lab is represented by PhD student Hantao Wang. It's Hantao's first in-person NCM so say hi if you see him! Stay tuned for info on his poster 4-F-53 on our use of #DBS with sensing capability (#Parkinsons Disease & #EssentialTremor).
@Raamana_@KordingLab Hm, there is no such thing on Mastodon... We like Mastodon specifically because there is nothing dedicated to our niche subfield and so many different other fields and perspectives. @json_dirs
Reminder that several weeks ago we decided this account should not exist in the horrible space that is current Twitter. If you want to follow us, come to Mastodon and look for StutteringLabUW on fediscience dot org (avoiding a link because Elon will delete).
@sqcai Try Tusky. Happy with the app and overall great experience on mastodon, so our lab account is no longer posting here (just don't want to be part of this mess). Came here today only to check if someone else needed help switching over! @[email protected]
@klausenhauser@AstrobioMike@blekhman@ATinyGreenCell Definitely. Same here. Not polluting with private convos is great. On both Tw and M. We just have never used DM to say something about another user where it would have been scary or dangerous if the person had known what we said about them. So we see no problem with the M DM.
