@TheRickWilson Counterpoint, there was a ton of vetting, but it yielded the least qualified and most culture war prone folks.
Don't forget that the Project 2025 folks play a big part in all of this.
@WTPRPOed@AngiB4547@SenatorLujan Lowering costs should not be happening at the cost of human lives.
IHS was already the most understaffed department. This is an insane move.
@jiredia @dianarachel__ @SSN674Trepang@allenanalysis We literally do.
Anyone who was immunocompromised was highly recommended to get the Covid vaccine. It significantly increased their chances of not being hospitalized with serious disease.
A transplant donee automatically become immune compromised when they receive a transplant
@RamonaRichey@allenanalysis Do you know what an organ transplant is like? And organ donee automatically becomes immunocompromised for a significant period of time. If you're not vaccinated against a variety of diseases then you're at a much higher chance of dying or experiencing transplant rejection.
Which of course means you're fine with the Pentagon budget being slashed by 30% right? Doge could immediately find the 2 Billion in savings that way. After all, the DoD hasn't passed an audit in a few years now... Clearly there is mis-spending there.
Until we balance the budget, I’m literally for randomly cutting everything by 10-35% and seeing what happens
At least on this scenario we live to fight another day
BTW: this is what happens to individuals who go broke: credit cards turn off & Netflix gets paused! 😂
@racette_tr58982 @thepopculturist@dcffk@dijoni We know you by your fruit. And it's rotten.
You wouldn't ever ask if a white person deserves to be there. But you question every single person of colour who gets into a position.
The fact that pilots can't qualify without being qualified doesn't even occur to you
You're racist
@RasmusJarlov@memizon Whoa whoa whoa. No. That's utterly revisionist.
Look the US engaging in imperialism is bad. Pretending that Greenland was obtained without duress from its indigenous communities is also bad.
@DreAllDay@esjesjesj But that's not what I'm saying. The OP asks a question of why this EO is good. Your response is "because people voted for him and he won, thus his action is the will of the people"
My response is to ask, so if he does anything at all, it's good cause it's the will of the people?
@LovePhoenix69@snakey@hankgreen With respect, there's something about a speck and a log that I think you need to go meditate on this morning.
You've been shown the truth by one of the most truthful scientific communicators out there. If you are a fellow brother in Christ, it's time to humble yourself and learn
@DJcalligraphy@DreAllDay@esjesjesj That is how elections work. I know that. I'm saying that you can't handwave the decisions that the leader makes using that. Democracy isn't just checking in every 4 years.
Every major decision being made needs to be scrutinised especially if it might cause major harm.
@DreAllDay@esjesjesj This is an incredibly reductive answer. So anything he chooses to do is an extension of the will of the people? What if he invades Canada? Or Nukes Mexico? Or starts WW3?
You can't just handwave everything he chooses to do as "the will of those who voted for him".
