Check out my new sketch XPLOIT! It's a satire of Silicon Valley tech companies. You can resume watching Elon Musk's public meltdown afterwards.

@Steamaddition@fleischertoons@CoreyAtad All dramatic shows were shot on film (except for soap operas and the very early live ones), but some sitcoms were shot on video.
@SachinC_10 @HatefulJosh I've only seen the cut version of Meiyazhagan, but it didn't feel like anything was missing. I loved the film, so perhaps the cuts were beneficial
@BeyondFest I don't think I've ever seen a scene in a Hollywood film that comes close to being as mind-blowing as this. And this is just the halfway point of the film!
@cdanuloff @parismarx It's the very concept of this thing, not just the execution, that people are resoundingly disinterested in. The AVP is closer to the CueCat than to the iPhone and microwaves
@edzitron He was smart in all the ways con men are smart. Duping powerful but tech-ignorant people in govt into giving him subsidies. Figuring out that he could make $$ selling regulatory credits. He had the capacity to "fake it" but not "make it"
@BrndnStrssng I didn't see specific Indian film influences. But there are a ton of Indian potboilers with Ramayana and Mahabharata references (though they don't have to explain the references and mythology bc the audience already understands them)
