Leonard Susskind, the physicist who helped found string theory, opening his Stanford quantum mechanics course:

he spent his life on the deepest math in physics. and he starts by telling the room to abandon the one tool they trust most - their own eyes.

classical physics you can picture: a ball, a wave in the ocean. quantum you cannot. "nobody can visualize the motion of an electron." try to force a mental image onto it and "you'll always get it wrong." the only thing that survives is abstract mathematics - trusted even when it feels insane.

same story i keep telling: the market is the electron. everything that "looks obvious" on the chart is everyday intuition, and it's lying to you at the exact scale that pays. the edge belongs to whoever trusts the system over the picture in his head.

the physicist who can't see the electron understands it best. the trader who stops trusting his gut is the one who finally sees the market.
