$BABA management reiterated $100B in @alibaba_cloud revenue by 2030 versus this quarter's ~$7B. If it happens, @AlibabaGroup balance sheet/net income statement change dramatically. Isn't the FCF and capex short term pain worth the long term gain?
ALIBABA EARNINGS:
โ CLOUD REVENUE ACCELERATES TO 45%
โ CLOUD EBITA MARGIN INCREASES TO 12%
โ MANAGEMENT GUIDES FOR CONTINUED ACCELERATION AND MARGIN EXPANSION
โ NO GROWTH WHATSOEVER IN THE DOMESTIC CHINA COMMERCE BUSINESS APART FROM QUICK SERVICE

$KWY I have attached my notes on Kingsway. I think the company is at an inflection point based upon the excellent quarter they just announced. Very excited to see how the next few years play out for shareholders. I am optimistic. $10 per share should be an excellent entry point.
@BrownMarubozu Weird. @compoundpapi was asking: Has anyone run a backtest on what the compounded return at Fairfax $FFH.TO would have been if they just indexed to $SPY in their public equities portfolio?
@BrownMarubozu@search4valueNew Perfect, we are on the same page. Back to my original response, FFH can repurchase shares in the open market or further unwind the TRS and repurchase the equivalent shares from the CPY.
@BrownMarubozu@search4valueNew $FFH.TO has two options. 1. repurchase those shares the CPY would sell 2. Not purchase those shares - I thought thatโs how a TRS works.
@BrownMarubozu@search4valueNew 1/ Sorry, I am confused. $FFH.TO bought a TRS on their shares - betting it will go up. The coy will have to buy shares to hedge the bet. $FFH.TO would pay interest + fee for that bet. If FFH wants out, they inform the CPRT and they would unwind the shares they bought.
@search4valueNew@BrownMarubozu Sorry, I mean unwinding the TRS and repurchasing the shares held by the counterparty? Based on my understanding thats what they did last month? - please confirm!
