@HotepJesus In the UK, there are strict reporting bans prior to the start of a trial. These are known as contempt laws. They’re designed to prevent pre-biasing a jury. In the US, we consider it unconstitutional to prevent the media from talking about a case prior to trial.

@MaryAnnreports He’s not wrong. The statute only mentions location-restricted knives, which are all knives over 5.5 inches. Even if the school has a zero tolerance policy, if the knife is under 5.5 inches, it’s not a felony.
