Thank you to every single one of the 6,024 people who signalled their support for Surrey’s firefighters by signing our petition over the past month. @EmmaKennedy
@nfliving @RodneyBates1 And Labour is not one of the horses in the race. Their paper candidate in this Division most likely enabled the Tories to hold a seat that they would otherwise have lost to the LDs.
@StuartGulleford@PaulKGB That's fine - you may well be prepared to take risks; no-one is stopping you.
Others should NOT be forced to take risks that 1. May be quite high for them or their household and 2. Where there is a low-risk alternative.
@revmiketurc @CamberleyDan It sounds as though everyone was silent for the 2 minute Silence. But some didn't stand as it wasn't a 2 minute Stand. And this has upset some people who think they were all elected by their constituents to represent the Queen at a local council.
11,237 firefighters’ jobs list since 2010.
80 fewer stations.
1/3 of control rooms have been forced to close.
This managed decline must be halted.
I fully support the campaign calling on the Government to #FundTheFrontLine
Following the petition on Surrey Fire and Rescue cuts presented at today's SCC Cabinet meeting, the Surrey Lib Dem group has restated its support for local firefighters. https://t.co/nnJSxphCTS
