Timothy is champion and a role model. Their success and story is inspiring. I CANNOT wait to cheer as loudly as possible for them *and their pairs partner Ashley* in Beijing ❤️❤️❤️

1/ My first patient with AIDS was a young Black man - young enough to be the oldest on a pediatric ward - with wasting, diarrhea, fevers. Dx=DMAC. He died without a official diagnosis of AIDS. I was on my first clinical rotation in medical school. It was 1982.

Today, @ClevelandClinic received our first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine. This is a hopeful moment. We are confident vaccines will slow the pandemic & help bring about its end. However, as we wait on widespread availability, we need to stay vigilant with public health measures.
The pandemic has hit the medical community hard. But despite the constant challenges, we as doctors, nurses and medical providers are committed to keeping our communities safe.
Please encourage everyone to wash their hands, practice social distancing and wear a mask. #MaskUp

“The study’s authors called the findings “unpromising” and said they “suffice to refute early hopes” that [remdesivir] “will substantially reduce inpatient mortality, initiation of ventilation or hospitalization duration.” Sigh. This in 11,000 patients. ☹️ https://t.co/hSjUk2pgWS
