The news and social media keep telling people that America is scary, Americans are dumb, our culture is fake, and our food is bad. A lot of folks around the world believed it because that's all they ever saw on the news.

Then, the World Cup brought millions of real people here. They met friendly Americans, felt the great energy, saw amazing stadiums, and enjoyed real hospitality. Now, many are posting videos saying, "This is nothing like what they told us."

She nailed the reason: bad news and scary stories get more clicks and money. Happy stories about a Canadian family having fun in Texas? Not so much.

The World Cup didn't just bring soccer, it showed the truth and broke a lot of the MEDIA lies.

Going somewhere yourself is the best way to know the real story. Screens often lie. Good on her for saying it out loud. 🇺🇸👏👏

Here's the issue: Most Westerners have been conditioned to believe that immigration, in principle, is a good, necessary and inevitable phenomenon. (I call this immigrationism.) It is not.

These are OUR countries; no one has any inherent right to move to them. We are under no obligation to be the soup kitchen and flop house of the Earth. In fact, I'd say we have an obligation to protect and preserve Western culture for our descendants and for the world. Why? Because Western culture is the greatest cultural force for good that has ever existed. And as with the environment, we thus have an obligation to preserve it.

At this point, people need to stay wherever the heck they are and build up their own nations. Trade? Yes. Sharing of knowledge? Yes. Otherwise, though, we must pull up the drawbridge and post a "No Vacancy" sign. Or do you prefer the below?
