September is #childhoodcancerawarenessmonth. While #sarcoma is a rare cancer, it’s relatively common among childhood cancers. Sarcomas make up about 15% of cancer in children (under 20yo), compared to the 1% of adult cancers.

Soft tissue sarcomas often appear as a painless lump, and it’s not until the lump grows larger that it will cause pain.This pain is likely due to compression of nerves, muscles, or other structures.If you notice a new lump be sure to get it checked out!
