Spring has arrived now our Thames Ditton In Bloom #community garden has sprung into life on TD Station. Thanks to our team of volunteer gardeners & @ElmbridgeBC who contribute around one third of the funding - the rest raised by Thames Ditton Foundation.
The TD Men In Sheds have had to leave the former Thames Ditton Centre for the Community. Apparently £5 million public liability insurance & coming under the auspices of a local charity wasn’t enough. Even their sign went in the skip. A sad day for the village
What a difference an hour makes. All this litter collected from the streets commons parks & riverside of #ThamesDitton in 60 minutes by #communityminded residents. Our @TDLitterPickers 2025 plea - don’t drop litter - take it home & dispose in your own bins.
One teaspoon of the neonicotinoids pesticide could kill 1.25 billion bees. And yet the Government could be about to let it back on English fields. Sign the petition: tell Ministers to keep this ban on bee-killing pesticides in place. https://t.co/9XS2h8sGTA
Operation Butterfly - our red admiral artwork undergoing emergency surgery after her wing blew away in the winds (luckily found in the wildflower meadow). Thanks for the speedy treatment by Thames Ditton Men In Shed Alan who helped build our fab insects.
