Thankful tonight that an injured officer will recover and no members of the public were hurt during the dynamic arrest of two people in a stolen vehicle in @TPS52Div. The driver of the car allegedly drove in to multiple police cars and also made contact with one of our three responding horses, York, who has been taken to the vet as a precaution. Our officers do incredible but often dangerous work keeping our city safe. Thank you to all of our members for what you do everyday.
While demonstrations may end, investigations into criminal activity continue and we pursue all leads to hold individuals accountable. Over the last year we have made 80 demonstration-related arrests and laid 124 charges. Arrests can happen at any time after an offence.
We escorted the Ride to Remember consisting of almost 200 Police and Peace Officer cyclists riding in memory of fallen officers.
They rode a 700 km route from the Ontario Police College to Parliament Hill for the Canadian Police and Peace Officers' National Memorial Day.
Over 80 Motor Officers joined thousands of our brothers and sisters at the Canadian Police and Peace Officers' memorial on Sunday to honour those that lost their lives in the line of duty.
The Toronto Police Motor Squad was led by our Deputy Chief Robert Johnson.

We spent a beautiful Saturday in Paris for the 20th Annual Special Olympics Ontario Truck Ride.
We joined our policing partners from RCMP, OPP, Brantford, Peterborough, Waterloo and Woodstock escorting the dozens (and dozens!) of big rigs on the route.
We joined OPP, Peel Police and over 200 others riders to raise funds and awareness for Boots on the Ground.
The weather on Saturday was perfect for a long ride through Peel and Halton Regions.

Beautiful day for Toronto’s Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics.
As always, we were honoured to do our part to keep the runners and walkers safe as they made their way on downtown streets.

Mayor Olivia Chow’s budget for @TorontoPolice is nearly $13 million less than what was approved by the @TPSBoard. That means the Service will only have the resources to hire 90 new officers this year. When we lose, on average, about 230 officers every year, this proposed budget is not an adequate investment in community safety for a growing city. #TorontoBudget #TOpoli
