Protestantism has an issue with this is because they don't have vicarious work. So if someone dies on their way to baptism, too bad.

And I would say there is no objective way to identify outside of the body

However, even in the rarest cases of DSD, a biological sex can be definitively and adequately determined (at least from a medical standpoint). I'm not here to argue social markers or self identification which are different issues
