@chamath @CT12Mass In 2008 election that change would have come back to haunt him and maybe have allowed Obama to reach further.

Amazing thread Mr Gull. The trump 1 / Biden switch seems odd though - the inflation caused by the big spending at the end of Trump / beginning of Biden caused massive inflation which ran up Nominal GDP faster than the debt and ironically the lesson seems to be that more inflation lessons the debt/gdp problem.

@bravotipo1 @patrickc Mainly talking about the soot covering the chapels. There are some spots where it’s been removed and the difference is drastic but it’s a stark comparison to Notre Dame

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

@TheStalwart Literally heard that on a podcast yesterday

@dampedspring @fejau_inc Traditionally the GSEs would raise unsecured bonds (agency debt) to buy the open market MBS. Had a huge hedging operation. Was basically like selling treasuries at a small spread. I assume from doing that again?

@BarstoolBigCat Anaconda?

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

@johnarnold Any lessons for what to do about mentally ill and fentanyl addicted homeless wandering the streets? For example Denver seems to let these people live on the streets and doesn’t arrest the for public drug use. (You can’t consume pot in public but fentanyl is fine!)

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

@nfergus Scale it as % of assets

Way to go @jamiegull! What’s most exciting here is that your strategy is already seeing results. Looking forward to what the future holds.

[Jamie Gull @jamiegull]

Stoked to get to finally announce Wave Function Ventures $15M Fund 1! Wave Function was created to partner with deep tech founders building hardware solutions to the world’s most important problems. I'm 9 investments in, with 15-20 left to go.

[Jamie Gull @jamiegull]

There are many great logical reasons why I am focused on investing in deep tech. But there are also some more deeply rooted emotional ones.

You can read a little bit more about both here, and hopefully you can guess the emotional ones by the preview image. (Link in comments, why is this the way @elonmusk ?)

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

@TheStalwart Because you’ve kept them honest!

[Jamie Gull @jamiegull]

Why deep tech now? Many reasons that boil down to it being a sector where big returns will come in the coming decades AND it will have a large positive impact on humanity. To learn about the other reasons...

@VladTheInflator How much have wages inflated since we had 2.7% rates? Adjust the 1850 payment for that then re run.

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

@ExcelHumor Go to formatting and Center across selection it’s cleaner

@JonAguiar Wynn/Encore were pretty crowded Friday night

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

@mercoglianos @PaulH1 @PortofLA Updated chart - some movement week 19/20 but week 21 is looking strong. Seems to refute the "shipping as indicator of leading inflation/empty shelves" thesis at least for the moment. Anyone have further thoughts?

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

Seems like trade still moving. Anyone know what I'm missing?

[Tom Fitzgerald @TFitz2007]

@BickerinBrattle Thoughts on restarting student loan payments? Seems like that move will be a change from Bidenomics.

Every time you see a car without a license plate aren’t you reminded that we aren’t enforcing laws in this city? I am just as mad at seeing missing plates or expired temp tags in Denver as I am when I see someone on drugs on the street. Enforce all laws and send a message to criminals the party is over.
