And what do you know? Harris now winning Virginia by 70,000 votes. That will grow. See how this works? Rural areas report results faster than cities and crowded suburbs. It has always been that way. And it will be that way in AZ, WI, MI, and PA. Harris gaining ground.
Whatever happens, one thing is clear: Trumpism is now the GOP permanently. There is no battle for the future of that party. It believes different things now and doesn’t think character matters—and Americans appear to have plenty of appetite for it. It has no incentive to change.
The thing that really gets me about all of this is the magnitude of complete amnesia about Trump's last term. Or maybe its mass-psychosis? Maybe people just put blinders on and just didn't see it in the 1st place?
Deeply concerning stuff.
if you genuinely believe the American people voted for Trump because they think Kamala Harris is too right wing on foreign policy you have lost your goddam mind
@zeta_globin One thing that astounded me about the Reagan era was how many people 10 years younger than me (i.e., young 20 somethings) seemed to worship him. I think there is just a generational 10 year swing there, people dislike what their older brothers liked or something like that.
@mirandacgreen Jim Justice is very like Trump in one sense - he doesn't pay his bills (or his taxes).
He also imports a lot of emigrants on short term visas to staff his Greenbrier Resort.
If Trump wins, Harris supporters must accept his victory peacefully and without rancor. And if Harris wins, Harris supporters must be understanding about Trump supporters’ violence and rioting.
