KARNATAKA’S “POSTMAN GOVERNMENT”: EVERY CRISIS, ONE LETTER TO DELHI

Mr. @RahulGandhi,
Three and half years. One playbook. Every crisis in Karnataka ends with the same answer: Blame Delhi. Write to Delhi. Wait for Delhi.

A crisis hits Karnataka → Blame the Centre → Write a PR letter to the Prime Minister → Publicise it on social media → Wash hands of responsibility.

Drought? Write to Delhi.
Money crunch? Write to Delhi.
Relief? Ask Delhi.
Accountability? Point to Delhi.

The latest example is Chief Minister @DKShivakumar’s September 23 letter to Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, seeking 50% of Karnataka’s ₹3,705.30 crore drought memorandum as interim assistance alongside the advance release of the SDRF instalment.

The drought is undeniably severe. 177 taluks stand declared drought-affected, and the state itself admits the number could cross 200.

The CM’s letter warns of crop losses potentially exceeding 40 lakh hectares and severe water scarcity.

Seeking Central assistance under established disaster-relief frameworks is standard. But here is the uncomfortable, primary question for your government: What is @INCKarnataka Govt in the state doing before asking the Centre?

Because the State’s own Finance Department has now put these staggering numbers on record:

🚫₹36,136 CRORE: Pending contractor bills across PWD, Water Resources, Minor Irrigation, and RDPR alone.

🚫₹2 LAKH CRORE+: Balance cost required to complete already-approved works.

🚫₹22,957 CRORE: Projected revenue deficit for 2026-27.

🚫24.94%: Cumulative liabilities as a share of GSDP, teetering on the absolute 25% statutory ceiling under the State’s fiscal framework.

The Finance Department has explicitly warned that Karnataka has already exhausted its borrowing capacity for the year, leaving virtually zero fiscal space without slashing existing public welfare spending.

Meanwhile studies have highlighted that massive guarantee allocations have severely squeezed infrastructure spending - slashing capital expenditure by ₹5,229 crore compared to previous benchmarks.

So the question is no longer merely about Central grants.

WHY HAS THE STATE CONGRESS GOVERNMENT MADE “DELHI” ITS DEFAULT EXCUSE FOR EVERY INTERNAL FAILURE?

* Drought relief? Ask Centre.
* Pending contractor bills? Ask Centre.
* Infrastructure funds? Ask Centre.
* SDRF allocations? Ask Centre.

When the State’s own Finance Department warns of a structural fiscal collapse, who answers for Karnataka’s internal spending choices? Seeking Central assistance cannot serve as a permanent smoke screen for state-level financial mismanagement.

Mr. @RahulGandhi, if every single crisis requires Delhi to step in, what exactly is your State government taking responsibility for?

And CM @DKShivakumar avare, before writing your next letter to New Delhi, put a WHITE PAPER on Karnataka's complete fiscal health before the public.

Tell Karnataka:

➡️ How will ₹36,136 crore of pending bills be cleared?
➡️ How will ₹2 lakh crore-plus of balance project costs be funded?
➡️ How will the ₹22,957 crore revenue deficit be bridged?
➡️ What is the State's immediate plan for drought relief using its own resources?

Karnataka does not need a Postman Chief Minister who simply forwards letters to New Delhi. Karnataka needs real governance and complete fiscal accountability.

ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ? ಅಥವಾ ತನಿಖಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿಲ್ಲವೇ ? ತಮ್ಮ 'ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳೇ' ತನಿಖಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲು ಏಕೆ ಬಯಸುತ್ತೀರಿ ? ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಯಾರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು. ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಹಸ್ತಕ್ಷೇಪ ಮಾಡಲಾಗದೆ ತಮ್ಮ 'ಬಂಟರನ್ನು' ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನುವುದು ಚಿಂತೆಯೋ ಅಥವಾ SIT ಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ 'ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ' ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯೋ ?

2 ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯಷ್ಟೇ ಆಯೋಗವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ವೀರಾವೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿದವರು ಇಂದು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ನಡುಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇಕೆ ?

KPSC SIT officer transferred within 48 hours.

In a sudden move, Karnataka govt transfers IPS officer Kushal Chouksey and posts him as Chitradurga SP.

The move comes just two days after the Karnataka High Court named him to the KPSC recruitment irregularities SIT.

It also comes less than a month after he was posted as DCP (Administration), #Bengaluru .
