One more action on former Minister EV Velu today. Urgent interviews and illegal recruitment for 109 posts undertaken before the Tamil Nadu elections in Tiruvannamalai Sri Arunachaleswarar Temple, now cancelled.
I have absolutely no pity for the ‘candidates’ who gave bribes up to ₹20 lakhs for ordinary jobs like electricians to the ruling party agents.
Great work by @CMOTamilnadu and his trusted lieutenant @RameshOffcl
For those who ask how did DMK lose despite TN doing so well economically and so many freebies for people. This👇Corruption was impacting people at every level and so was lack of law and order. Violence and crime; political rowdyism doesnt help at the ballot box. Most of my IITMadras professor friends voted " Actor" Vijay. Hoping for change and better days and clearly Vijay seems to be on the right track, but long ways to go.
Yes. Several contractors told me this earlier and I had flagged this in my shows. Unwanted projects were conceived and executed only for this humongous commission. This is directly related to the huge debt piled up by the state.
To cover this up, they had the media, entire state machinery and the police to silence those who spoke about it.
@sharathjothi Chinmayi ku enna pannangalo adhe technique..
Question the victim and make sure no other victim raises any question or accusation.
Wow.. Correct ah dhaan makkal koopula ukkara vechirukaanga..
The previous state government started referring to the Central Government as the Union Government (Ondriya Arasu).
Chief Minister Vijay has announced today that, henceforth, it will be referred to as it used to be - either the Central Government or the Indian Government.
If even a giant tech CEO faces this kind of pressure for speaking about corruption, imagine what ordinary citizens face.
I started @makkal_saatchi to expose bribe patterns anonymously. One person says “shut the portal,” another asks “did you verify?” even after clearly saying it is an anonymous citizen reporting platform.
And honestly, I can’t even imagine what @TVKVijayHQ must have gone through before becoming Chief Minister, standing against this entire ecosystem.
Only the corrupt fear citizens speaking.
Congratulations to Dr. Sridhar Vembu for exposing the nauseating and disgusting corruption culture of DMK!
It is truly heartening to see an eminent intellectual and a living legend like @svembu openly speaking about the rampant corruption that existed during the previous DMK regime.
Now he is being attacked by the DMK ecosystem for speaking out. If they do not have an answer, they attack. And if the person making the allegation is a Brahmin, the attacks become personal.
But times have changed. This is an era in which we can respond with facts, data, and fitting rebuttals.
I request all those who believe they were victims of corruption during the previous regime to speak out, just as @svembu has done. This will help expose the corruption that was allegedly prevalent across all sectors and industries from 2021 to 2026.
It will also help the current @TVKPartyHQ government investigate any wrongdoing and, where supported by evidence and due process, prosecute those responsible.
Congratulations once again to Dr. Sridhar Vembu for firing the first salvo!
We used to hear 30 years ago about money being swindled by showing bridges and roads that were never built in Bihar. Never thought I'd see that in 2026 in Tamil Nadu.
This cannot be done by one man. There must have been collusion at multiple levels. Let us see if the law will catch up with them.
Worse than the bribes taken during the DMK regime was the fear they created. Many victims were afraid to speak out. Even now they abuse those who speak up. Every such attack only shows their true face.
One post from Sridhar Vembu and within hours Vineetha adds 10 years of firsthand corroboration. How many more Vineethas are out there who haven't spoken yet?
@Anbil_Mahesh has no rebuttal, no disagreement, nothing. This is what guilt looks. You just go very, very quiet. 😕
