@MikeWaltz47 Everybody should know that the prosecution of Armenian separatist leaders is a vital step in Azerbaijan’s nation-building. It sends a clear message to Azerbaijanis: no act of violence against Azerbaijanis on their own land will go unpunished.
@Zoma3mk Seems like he is an Armenian separatist from the former Nagorno-Karabakh (Azerbaijan) or an Armenian occupier from Armenia who fought in the first Karabakh war, resulting in the occupation of Azerbaijani lands and the displacement of people.
Bahruz consistently reinforced separatist narratives rather than fostering reconciliation in his public discourse. It is difficult to see how such messaging aligns with peacebuilding.
Bahruz Samadov is being held in solitary confinement. Why is Ilham Aliyev punishing him while both local and international media praise the regime for lifting all restrictions on trade with Armenia? Yesterday’s warmongers are now traveling to Armenia as “peacebuilders,” meeting Armenian counterparts in Istanbul, and presenting themselves as agents of reconciliation. Everyone understands that the accusations against Bahruz — claims of alleged ties with Armenian security services — are a blatant lie.
The real reason lies in the nature of the dictatorial regime led by Aliyev. Dictators cannot tolerate independent action. Bahruz is being punished for engaging in genuine peacebuilding efforts without the dictator’s authorization and outside his control. In a dictatorship, everything must be approved, orchestrated, and shaped by the ruler himself. The narrative must remain firmly in his hands, so that with a single subtle signal a warmonger can be recast as a peacebuilder — or vice versa.
Aliyev punishes Bahruz not for any crime, but for his independence. For daring to act with integrity without asking for permission.
BREAKING - Images emerge showing the demolition of #NagornoKarabakh's Foreign Ministry building in the territory's capital by #Azerbaijan, coinciding with the anniversary of the territory's independence day on 2 September.
I hope Azerbaijan will not release these prisoners, especially since it is the separatist Artak who is asking for it. Anything these criminal separatists demand should be rejected. In fact, Artak himself should have been in a Baku prison, and I hope one day he will be.

Summary:
• Numbers: There are 23 confirmed Armenian hostages in Azerbaijan: 6 civilian captives, 9 prisoners of war, and 8 political prisoners. Of these, 7 have already been convicted in sham trials and are serving their unjust “sentences,” while 16 are currently undergoing sham trials on various baseless charges.
• Terminology: In reality, the terms “hostage” and “captive” can be applied to all of them. “Hostage,” because the Aliyev regime demands various concessions from Armenia and potential mediators for their release, and “captive,” because they were all imprisoned as a result of and in the context of the conflict, due to being on the opposing side. However, as noted above, they are divided into three status-based subgroups: civilian captives, prisoners of war, and political prisoners.
• Other statuses: As a result of Azerbaijani aggressions from 2020 to 2023, there are about 80 enforced disappeared persons whose capture is proven by indisputable evidence, but whose detention Azerbaijan does not acknowledge. There are also more than 200 missing persons, though the exact number is unclear, as state bodies, the Red Cross, and the human rights community present different figures. These numbers do not include those who went missing or were enforced disappeared in the 1990s.

I am curious why the pro-Iranian @EldarMamedov4 is promoting the fascist Armenian diaspora’s “Christians” narrative. Could it be that he is somehow financially connected to them?
Çox təəccüblüdür ki, Azərbaycanda heç bir jurnalist və ya media orqanı bu gədənin kimə işlədiyini və kim tərəfindən maliyyələşdirildiyini sənədli sübutlarla üzə çıxarmayıb.
Sossi is deliberately writing manipulative posts to boost Armenia’s standing in the eyes of the pro-Ukrainian Western community. In reality, during Armenia’s occupation of Azerbaijani territories, Armenia played the role Russia plays today against Ukraine - the aggressor, while Azerbaijan was in the position of Ukraine, the victim of occupation. Accordingly, to this day, Azerbaijan has consistently supported Ukraine’s territorial integrity and provided assistance.
Learn a little history. The name of the place is Karabakh. All major powers recognize it as Azerbaijani national territory. Armenia ethnically cleansed it in the First Karabakh War: murdering, raping, torturing. Azerbaijan liberated it following the 2nd Karabakh War. The Armenians left voluntarily.
Moron Thatcher, who seems to be good at social media but is a loser in life, is deeply unhappy about the Washington declaration. While discussing the Armenians fleeing Karabakh, he deliberately overlooks the hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis who were forced to leave their lands by Armenian separatists and the Armenian army.
Aliyev killed thousands of people, started a war, ethnically cleansed an entire region and personally imprisoned my friends, I'm not giving Trump credit for warping American foreign policy so badly that he's strong-arming democracies because he's friends with a dictator.
If info warrior on fascist Armenian diaspora payroll, @LindseySnell, is unhappy about the Washington declaration, then it is good for Azerbaijan and Armenia.
This is exactly what peace is about. Winning.
They did win. Nagorno-Karabakh is still free of Armenians, since AZ has all but stopped pretending a return was ever on the table, and the Zangezur corridor will happen.
Sorry: the road that definitely isn’t the Zangezur corridor.
CBS NEWS: Dr. Ara Nazarian, of the Armenian National Committee of Eastern Massachusetts:
"The fundamental worry is that you cannot have peace between two parties when one has their foot on your neck."
“Normalizing ethnic cleansing is not peace. Abandoning Christian holy sites is not peace. Forsaking hostages is not peace. Accepting Azerbaijani occupation of Armenia is not peace. Peace reached at gunpoint is not peace” (Aram Hamparian) https://t.co/KLl4QM4ih9
The sham trial of Armenian hostages organized by #Aliyev continued in Baku today. The "victims" were interviewed. The next meeting will be on Aug. 8th.
The issue of the release of the hostages isn't on the agenda of the #Armenia-#Azerbaijan talks.

Glad that fascist ANCA and other Armenian diaspora members are going crazy over the possibility of Armenia and Azerbaijan signing a peace treaty soon. Remember, anything that makes these fascists unhappy is good for the region.
FYI @zerohedge:
A real peace must return Armenians to Nagorno Karabakh, hold Aliyev accountable for his war crimes, protect Armenian Christian holy sites, secure the release of Armenian hostages, and roll-back Azerbaijani occupation of Armenian lands.
OC Media has lost its credibility among Azerbaijanis (both pro-opposition and pro-government camps). Anything they write about Azerbaijan, even the truth, stinks and gets ignored.
OC Media has once again shared a poorly informed post, mixing up two unrelated issues just to create negative views about Azerbaijan. The recent decision is not about the economy, as they suggest, but about protecting the true meaning of funeral traditions.
