Some wounds do not disappear with time. Some memories are carried from one generation to another, because the lives lost were not just numbers they were fathers, mothers, children, brothers, sisters, and loved ones.

The Kuki Inpi Jiri, Tamenglong and Noney (JTN) has announced a 24-hour economic blockade in protest against the killing of a Kuki woman and the injuries sustained by her husband and six-year-old son in an attack at Tollen village in Manipur’s Tamenglong district on Sunday. https://t.co/7YKC3TShQY
JUSTICE FOR THE KUKI VICTIMS — END THE CYCLE OF VIOLENCE
The brutal killing of Mrs. Lhingngai Singsit of L. Tollen Village on 13 September 2026, reportedly during the early hours of the morning, has once again raised serious concerns over the safety of Kuki-Zo civilians living in vulnerable frontier areas. Her husband, Mr. Seineh Singsit, and their son were reportedly seriously injured in the attack.
There are serious allegations regarding the involvement and support networks of NSCN-IM and the ZUF (Kamson) group, including claims of assistance from armed elements operating from across the Myanmar side, such as the Shan National Army and Myanmar military/Junta-linked forces. There are also allegations concerning the role, influence or support of various organisations and political figures, including the United Naga Council, Senapati district student bodies, JTM, NPO, ANSAM, Tangkhul CSOs and MLA Losii Dikho.
These are grave allegations and must not be treated as established facts without an impartial investigation. If any individual, organisation or armed group has facilitated, supplied, sheltered, directed or enabled attacks against civilians, the evidence must be uncovered and those responsible must face the law.
The central question is simple:
Who planned the attack?
Who carried it out?
Who supplied or supported the perpetrators?
Who knew about it beforehand?
And why were innocent civilians left vulnerable?
An attack on an unarmed family cannot be justified by political differences, territorial disputes or communal grievances. Women, children and ordinary villagers must never become targets.
The Government of India, security agencies and investigating authorities must ensure a credible, independent and time-bound investigation, including examination of any alleged links between armed groups, cross-border networks and civilian attacks.
Mrs. Lhingngai Singsit deserves justice.
Her injured family deserves protection.
The perpetrators deserve accountability.
And every civilian deserves to live without fear.
No more silence. No more impunity.
Investigate the entire chain—not only the trigger pullers.
Follow the evidence. Expose the network. Deliver justice.

NIA–CBI MUST ANSWER: WHY THE SILENCE?
The Kangpokpi ambush and the deaths of civilians demand a transparent, impartial and time-bound investigation. Serious allegations have been raised regarding the involvement of NSCN-IM and the ZUF (Kamson) group, along with alleged support or supplies from forces operating across the Myanmar border, including the Shan National Army and Myanmar military/junta.
If these allegations are established by evidence, every person responsible—whether the perpetrators, planners, financiers, suppliers or facilitators—must be identified, arrested and prosecuted under the law.
The people cannot be expected to remain silent while victims' families continue waiting for truth, justice and accountability.
NIA and CBI: If the Kangpokpi ambush investigation is under your jurisdiction, where is the progress? Why is the public still waiting for clear answers? Why the silence?
We demand a credible, independent and evidence-based investigation, including identification of the perpetrators and accountability for everyone found to have planned, participated in or supported the attack.
No selective justice. No impunity. No silence.
Justice must reach every victim and every affected family.

To mark the day they brutally massacred hundreds of Kukis, Tangkhul-led NSCN(Muivah) terrorists strike again today brutally killing a woman & injuring her husband & son. See the bleeding hands of this child. @HMOIndia@YKhemchandSingh
Another shameful display of lawlessness by the UNITED NAGA COUNCIL—blocking food, essential commodities and medical supplies. Samson Remei Convenor of UNC Economic blockade must be arrested and put in jail. Lawlessness cannot be called “civil society” activism.
