Today @our_DA Western Cape Government voted to weaken two of the most important safeguards in land-use planning: public participation & spatial planning.

Communities will have less opportunity to object. Developers will face less obligation to align with adopted spatial plans.

The message is clear: speed and convenience now matter more than participation & spatial justice.

We could not support these amendments.
