@estebangt9093@tunkuv Here's a concise, factual reply suitable for X:
Not quite. Argentina established a settlement in 1829, but Britain had claimed the Falklands in 1765 and never abandoned that claim. Luis Vernet wasn't removed by Britain in 1833—he'd already left after the 1831 USS Lexington raid.
Argentines have many qualities--rhythm, a gift for cooking certain cuts of meat and baking pizza, an ability to play football (sometimes even without fouling their opponents)--but irony isn't one of them. So lost on them is the fact that they--a people descended from colonizers who liquidated the people who lived on the land they conquered, as well as from waves of European poor in search of a better life (Italians, Spaniards, Poles, Ukrainians, Serbs, Welshmen, and so forth)--are laying claim to the Falklands, islands they have never once possessed, inhabited by people who have no earthly wish to be Argentine, in the name of decolonisation. I can't think of a more twisted, absurd claim. At least Gibraltar--which is, and should always remain, British, for as long as its residents do not wish to be citizens of Spain--was once Spanish, until it was acquired lawfully by Britain. The only sovereignty the Falklands has ever known is British.
🚨Why is the father of a convicted ISIS terrorist from Australia waltzing into America and heading straight to the radical EPIC mosque pushing "EPIC City" in Texas?
This is exactly how parallel societies get built on our soil. Who is vetting these visas?
Our borders and immigration system are a national security disaster. America First means no more importing terror ties to plant Sharia strongholds.

Warning to Europe: CBN News Uncovers France’s Silent Islamization Crisis
Islam as a political ideology is incompatible with the West. It views Muslims as superior and non-Muslims as inferior. It strips women of rights and allows the forced marriage and sexual slavery of girls under 10, reducing them to male property with zero autonomy.
France is already being silently Islamized. The rest of Europe is on the same path.
Every Western nation has the right to protect its culture, identity, and values. The Western world must close its borders and halt all Islamic immigration. Do you agree? Yes or no?

America's fifth president is the one most people forget. But you have almost certainly seen his face, and you have definitely heard his most famous idea.
His name was James Monroe. And he was the last of the Founding Fathers to lead the country, the final president who actually fought in the Revolution.
He dropped out of college at 18 to enlist. He crossed the Delaware with George Washington on that freezing Christmas night in 1776, and took a musket ball to the shoulder that nearly killed him. In the famous painting of Washington crossing the Delaware, the young officer holding the flag is traditionally said to be Monroe.
He later studied law under Thomas Jefferson, and helped negotiate the Louisiana Purchase, which doubled the size of the United States.
As president from 1817 to 1825, his time was called the Era of Good Feelings. The opposing party had collapsed entirely, and he was so popular he won reelection almost unanimously. He also acquired Florida from Spain.
Then, in 1823, he issued the idea that made him immortal. The Monroe Doctrine. He declared that European powers could no longer colonize or interfere in the Americas. At the time, America barely had the power to enforce it. But it became the backbone of US foreign policy for the next two centuries.
And his ending is genuinely eerie. Monroe died on the 4th of July, 1831. He was the third president in a row to die on Independence Day, after John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4th, 1826, exactly 50 years after the Declaration.
Even the capital of Liberia, Monrovia, is named after him. And most Americans still could not pick him out of a lineup.
Israel armed Argentina during the Falklands. That is a fact. Between the 2 April and 14 June 1982, Israel sold Argentina air-to-air missiles, anti-personnel mines, anti-tank weapons, replacement parts for jets, radar and communications equipment and fuel.
Nesher fighter jets, supplied by Israel, were part of the air attack that destroyed the RFA Sir Galahad in Bluff Cove. Fifty-six British sailors and soldiers died in that raid.
So when Israel’s foreign minister Gideon Sa’ar taunted England for our 2-1 World Cup defeat, that was a continuation of traditional Israeli foreign policy.

The Catholic Writers' Guild has arranged for a Mass to be celebrated for the repose of the soul of Ann Widdecombe, author of four novels and a former Mistress of the Keys in the 1990s, at 6pm on Thursday July 23 at the Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception in Mayfair, London
Arthur Conan Doyle, creator of Sherlock Holmes, once traveled to Switzerland. When he arrived, he took a taxi and the driver told him he wouldn't charge him if he autographed a book.
Conan Doyle, surprised, asked the taxi driver how he knew he was a writer, and the taxi driver replied: "Easy, your shoes are covered in dust that isn't from here. From the pattern of your shoes, I see that they are English shoes. So it's English dust. You have an ink stain on your toes, so you are a writer, a British writer."
Shocked, Conan Doyle replied: "You are smarter than Sherlock Holmes."
"Yes sir, and your suitcases clearly have Arthur Conan Doyle written on them."

A question to those who want to “reverse Thatcherism”. Which bits would you undo? Would you nationalise BT? Or British Airways? Would you impose exchange controls? Would you send men back underground to run a coal-fired economy? Would you hand the Falkland Islands to Argentina?
@AllForProgress_ None of this can be true because Starmer and Reeves both stated publicly that their Fabian Labour govt would be THE most pro-business govt in history 🤡
