A Podcast about Tech Debt - a technology and policy issue caused when we put off doing the right, scalable thing, in favour of doing the things we want to do.
I had a lot of fun talking about tech debt and whether #SBOM could be helpful with @cpswan and @fuzztech on the @TechDebtPodcast.
(If this podcast isn't on your list, & you like the intersection of IT, orgs, data, & security, check them out!)
@TechDebtPodcast episode 6 was superb. Pipeline engineering isn't for everyone but for those of us it is for, we love it. Some brilliant thinking points came out of this episode for me in my own role.
Episode 7 - we speak to @kennwhite about Mongo's enabling team (and monkeys in the satellite dishes), and with @awpiii about tech debt in the (software as a) medical device industry.

and we're back...
Meanwhile episodes 4 & 5 have dropped. So check them out to hear @wendynather talk about What Works In Security and @fuzztech & @cpswan discuss Metrics for Tech Debt.
@cpswan @TechDebtPodcast@fuzztech Once the power law overwhelms you it's very hard to recover. ...and you need very different techniques at the different scales.
With a Gaussian you can assume that if you break and fix things at approximately the same rate then it's easy to move the average when you want to.
