It's counter-productive to everyone in the chain. Refs take unconceivable amounts of abuse every game from everyone involved.

Everybody eating good when the talent is diversified.

Vlade Divac is like the godfather of flopping, and you got guys like Luka who struggle not to accumulate 26 (!) techs per season for arguing calls, which is essentially part of the same problem.

American players are not dominating the sport anymore. The NBA has been consistantly putting forward intl talent since the 90s -- this is the result. On top of that, he's a genuine, humble, relatable dude. If we're not promoting this guy, we're failing as a fanbase and the NBA is failing as an org. Besides, he's not even on Nike.
