Excited to share our latest @Nature paper spearheaded by @YaelGruper identifying a new autoimmune disorder, characterized by impaired tooth development & generation of autoAbs against enamel matrix. It occurs in most AIRE def patients & ~1/3 of celiac kids https://t.co/Ln8IbJsgq5
@konvalinka_jan Honzo, this is en extremely poorly designed study completely missing long term adverse effects. It would be fair to cite dozens of other peer reviewed studies that show very different results, including an earlier study from the same journal - Berild et al JAMA 2022.
The recorded video of Dr. Jakub Abramson seminar entitled Breath of fresh AIRE - From broken central tolerance to broken teeth and anti-fungal immunity is now available at “Global Immunotalks” YouTube Channel https://t.co/ADwVD0lrBY
Hope you enjoy it!

@globalimmuno Thank you for the kind invitation, it was a great honor to present our data at this wonderful platform and to close this year’s lecture series.
Happy to see our story on tolerance to inflammation antigens @NatImmunol https://t.co/DvEZswDvKO It grew from a naive question I had at my first immunology class: if some self molecules are only induced by pathogen how does immune system distinguish them from foreign antigens?1/n
In this study, interferon-γ was found to play a large role in the pathogenesis of APS-1. Results were confirmed in studies in animals and led to a trial of ruxolitinib in five patients, who had dramatic responses. Read the full study results: https://t.co/tWXykOMI59
Congratulations to Prof. Jakub Abramson @TheAbramsonLab of the Immunology and Regenerative Biology Department and to Drs. @SegevEinat and @filipenatalio of the Plant and Environmental Sciences Department upon receiving the @ERC_Research 2023 Proof of Concept Grant #ERCPoC
The thymus can regenerate after acute injury due, in part, to the actions of local type 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), suggests a new study in mice. @WeizmannScience

Very happy to share our latest @SciImmunology paper spearheaded by Shir Nevo uncovering the role of thymic fibroblasts and tuft cells in thymus regeneration upon acute injury https://t.co/2D4mvKuk8L
Thymus regeneration upon glucocorticoid-induced acute involution is orchestrated by IL-25– and IL-33–dependent activation of ILC2 @SciImmunology

Could the consumption of milk lead to dental problems in some children?
New research led by Prof. Jakub Abramson and his team has uncovered a new autoimmune disorder that affects the development of tooth enamel and is prevalent among children with celiac disease.
While many people with celiac disease are not aware of their sensitivity to a protein abundant in processed dairy products, the research findings suggest that this same protein may trigger an autoimmune reaction that hinders proper tooth enamel development.
These discoveries could facilitate early diagnosis in children and enable preventative treatment in the future >> https://t.co/JBY3oh0WcX

Our @medrxivpreprint is open for public comment. We describe the experience of people reporting a chronic post-vaccination syndrome (PVS) after covid-19 vaccination. We are following the science. @VirusesImmunity@React19org@YaleMed@YaleCII https://t.co/elfxlQTzeB
