@HLTCO He’s one of the greatest ever, but he’s a Grade A narcissist. If he didn’t care about the World Cup and really wanted to help Portugal, he should have stepped down after winning the Euros. He’s held Portugal back for years now. Martinez no better for letting it happen.
@chris_sutton73 Absolutely bang on here. There’s no denying he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game, but he should have retired from int football after he won the Euros. Hes held Portugal back for years now.
Martinez as well, I’ve never seen a manager consistently fail upwards…
@JacobsBen@breezy_345@talkSPORT@BobbyVincentFL And I’d wager there won’t be much club-to-club discussions for him any time soon. Awful footballer. This has a deadline day season long loan with an option to Serie A written all over it….
Despite being overrated, I enjoyed watching Neymar play six or seven years ago when he played consistently at a decent level. He shouldn’t have been at this World Cup, but I admire his ability to make it all about him at the end there. Fair play, PR still strong.
@GingaBonitoHub You all forced him to take Neymar who’s been finished for about five years… Love Brazil, always have, but that squad is nowhere near the levels it should be.
@og_papy@elIisburner Need to see some evidence of that before even starting that discussion. A decent comp from his Sunderland days can only do so much. Since he arrived he has been almost entirely unavailable, which for 50m pounds, is terrible business.
Keeping him is pointless.
🚨 Exclusive: The White House made a direct call to FIFA to ask Gianni Infantino to review Folarin Balogun’s red card.
FIFA approached for comment and referred to the findings of its independent committee.
FIFA sources insist White House influence could not affect the decision due to the powers contained in Article 27 and the independent nature of the disciplinary panel.
@FFulbright This is exactly it - I have zero faith that they will suddenly spend money wisely. It’ll sound dramatic, but this is why I’ll argue against the sales of any semi-decent player that we have. Two or three more Delap/Garnacho/Gittens signings and we’ll be in serious trouble.
The fact players like Lavia, Delap, Garnacho, Trev and Tosin are still Chelsea players, even at this stage of the transfer window, is annoying me. Don’t go selling our semi-decent squad depth before them ffs…
