@ChadNichols_ @BrotherTodd @Theresa_Hurley_ Yep. I’m in the same process. It’s good and it’s hard but beautiful all at once. I’ve been reading Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer and it’s helping me to reclaim some of the theology around the importance and beauty of prayer and beholding God without the IHOP baggage.

I’m done being snarky with trolls and bad actors on here. I would encourage others to stop engaging with the flying monkeys and keep focused on the goal. We are getting caught in the weeds and bogged down with manufactured outrage about semantics while the elephant of systematic abuse, and stalling any actual investigation while the elephant in the room tries to slip out the back door.

1. An independent investigation of MB, all of those in leadership, and the systems in place needs to be done and publicly released.

2. Those found to have abused, been complicit, or looked the other way need to be disqualified from ministry indefinitely and called to publicly repent and bring restoration to those they used and tossed to the side.

Everything else we get caught up in this debacle is an intentional distraction meant to frustrate and cloud the waters.

What #ihopkc doesn’t realize is that there is so much pushback, so many calls for honesty and transparency because we as former members care deeply. If they continue with their trajectory a whole generation is going to wash their hands of them and give them exactly what they want, leaving them as a shadow filled room echoing with the voices of the deceived and submissive talking about glory days that could have been the tip of the iceberg if only they had godly leadership and any semblance of character. No one in their right mind rejoices in this, no one in a healthy spot ever wished for this, yet we are left weeping and watching the place we called home sink while the band continues to play.
