@pp2020986@FibbyDottie@ASM_Strickland@masnRoch My guess is that even against the Sox, there can be little room for error or development when you're in such a tight division race with a depleted team. Mayo would get more work if there was some breathing room, but theyre going with the vets right now. They've carried us
@4thgearpinned85@masnRoch They're literally middle of the pack in every category when it comes to hit by pitches this year and it's a season where we have a lot of bad pitchers. 14/30. Just seems like so much more because they were hit less than any team last season.
@Foulwermammal @KleineSchroeder @Willlgtclo@Orioles The average Orioles fan on Twitter thinks that anyone not hitting over .300 and OPS over 800 isn't good enough to be starting.
@RobTheYvngblood @StevenMcKelvey3 @bmore_sno@masnRoch@afkostka Given he has one of the higher BAs and OPS on the team for the month of July, there are plenty worse. With Holliday coming up, he's probably going back to 1-2 games a week anyway, and if it were Mayo, there's no room to play him regularly anyway with Mounty and O'Hearn
@iamtheliquor420@gopqed@masnRoch If you replace him with Norby or Mayo, they still play 1-2 games a week and then everyone complains we don't play them enough, and their defense leaves a lot to be desired. Holliday going back down is what started all this, as 2B was his to lose.
@fanallen2 Because he's been a PR and locker room problem for every team he's played for. It's not even so much about skill as it is the fact that very few want him as a teammate.
@kfod88@masnRoch Yeah, The dumbest Orioles fan takes are here daily. People really getting upset over a backup catcher who plays less than half a season's worth of games. There's only one team in MLB that has two good-hitting catchers.
