Bioinformatician (who does Bioinformatics) doing his PhD in QMUL. I'm suppose to know about machine learning, transcriptomics, network analysis and inflammation
A new study, led by Professor of Molecular Pharmacology Jesmond Dalli, finds that people with a genetic mutation which leads to a reduction in a protein called LGR6, found on the surface of immune cells, have a decreased ability to clear viral infections. https://t.co/xBRDXnfE0I
Not gonna lie: it has been the most rewarded week I ever had. Thanks to @jDalliLab and all my colleagues. Without them any of these achievements would have been possible.
We are all so very proud of Esteban on successfully defending his thesis. A big thank you also goes to the examiners Prof Claude Chalala and Prof Mario Romano for making the experience a pleasantly memorable one! @QMULWHRI
So the first paper from my PhD is out. Here we demonstrated that we can predict responsiveness of rheumatoid arthritis treatment (DMARDs treatment) using lipid mediator profiling and machine learning methodologies.
