Synaptome architecture shapes regional dynamics in the mouse brain | https://t.co/YKH3euIQpP
How do diverse synapses relate to the spatial patterning of whole-brain dynamics? @JustineYHansen explores @PLOSBiology ⤵️
📢 Publication Alter!
🎉 Excited to share that our work, “Personalized biomarkers of multiscale functional alterations in temporal lobe epilepsy”, is now out in @NatureComms#TLE#MRI#biomarker#PrecisionMedicine

8. Finding sex differences does not rule out gender influences as the two are entangled in humans. Also, we map and annotate neuroanatomical sex differences, but we do not directly test causal effects or probe potential functional consequences (of which there may be none).
Humans show reproducible sex differences in regional cortical volume but what are their morphological and mechanistic bases?
We address this question by separate analysis of volume, area and thickness and examining data from rare patient cohorts 👀 🧵⬇️

Mapping cerebral blood perfusion and its links to multi-scale brain organization across the human lifespan | https://t.co/pjI36Z7wLi
How does blood perfusion map onto canonical features of brain structure and function? @AsaFarahani investigates @PLOSBiology ⤵️
Integrating and interpreting brain maps | https://t.co/0Zjdr3nRUQ
Imaging and recording technologies make it possible to map multiple biological features of the brain. How do we conceptually integrate these features into a coherent understanding of structure and function? ⤵️

Mapping neuropeptide signaling in the human brain | https://t.co/ciazq7op2Z
Neuropeptides are among the functionally diverse signaling molecules in the brain and body.
We curate an atlas of neuropeptide receptors and relate it brain function 🧩🧠⤵️
Whelp. Maybe a good time to mention that I am about to open a new PhD position in Sweden that just happens to be exactly four years in length. Any aspiring PhD candidates in neurodegenerative imaging or multiomics who want to "take a break" from the US, please get in touch!
Hiring!! I am looking for a postdoc who is passionate about brain organization using multimodal neuroimaging data across species. If you’re interested, please reach out for more details!
