For those who know Sentry, you know we’ve been giving back to Open Source maintainers since our early days.
This year, we increased our budget from $750,000 to $1,000,000.
Here’s where it went 🧵
We just sent $100,000 to 20 open source projects ($5000 each) that the Syntax team use regularly and depend on. Thank you so much to all the maintainers for all your time and efforts!
Big thanks to @sentry and @ThePledge for giving us the resources to do this.

🎉 We've renewed our @ThePledge for 2026!

@openjsf , the @linuxfoundation, @GraphQL, the OpenAPI Initiative and Forbes Lindesay.
Plus a virtual file system contributed to @nodejs, and security triage that nobody announces.
we just renewed the bolt open source fund for 2026. $1,700/month in new sponsorships, $11,333/month total.
bolt and webcontainers are built on other people's open source. here's who we fund.

ScreenshotOne is now officially a member of the Open Source Pledge (https://t.co/0dyh56GA6r).
Thanks, Zeke, for the suggestion to join.
The pledge will help me be more systematic and intentional about supporting open-source maintainers and projects I value and want to see thrive.
If you run a software company that relies on open source, consider joining too.
Support for more Open Source projects coming soon 😍
I love doing this, its amazing that @CodeRabbit cares so much about OSS and I can collaborate with all this amazing projects and OSS maintainers
in times like these, I'm very happy that @sanity_io put some of our @ThePledge dollars on the good folks at @pnpmjs 🫡
(and we made it our mandated package manager internally)
While others race away from Open Source, @vltpkg is doubling down. 🖤⚡
Today we’re announcing our renewed commitment to @ThePledge and investing back into the ecosystem.

I tip my hat to everyone out there that is doing the thankless, unpaid work to ensure their environments & software stays safe/secure. At @vltpkg we're giving back (ex. @ThePledge) & building a package manager that attacks the last mile problem with a zero trust approach.
Private Packagist is a member of @ThePledge and gave over $4k/FTE in 2025 to #opensource maintainers. Have your company join too and help fund our shared open source ecosystem!

1/5 Today we're launching the Open Source Endowment (OSE) — the world's first endowment fund dedicated to sustainably funding critical open source software. 🌱
$750K+ raised. 60+ founding donors. Built to last forever.

Open source quietly powers everything from your terminal to your favorite frameworks, yet maintainers are often underfunded.
In 2025, CodeRabbit distributed over $600,000 directly to OSS maintainers, and we’re just getting started!
