Two of our worst VC stories:
1. A Sequoia partner passed on Cloudflare because he didn’t think a woman could lead a security infrastructure company. Seriously. 🙄
2. I got introduced to @pmarca. Meeting got scheduled for a Monday, which should have been a clue. I thought it was just a casual meeting. He thought it was a pitch and brought the whole @a16z partnership team. Hilarity ensued. 🤪 At one point one of them said: “You don’t seem very prepared.” Which was true because I wasn’t. I framed the rejection letter they sent.
@Samwise_Ganji Fiat is a sham, the banking class is corrupt, decentralized digital currency and the blockchain are the inevitable future, and the incumbents will fight it to the death.
Now we know why Peter Thiel packed his bags for Argentina.
Milei just submitted his AI legislative framework to Congress, where he proposes:
- zero regulation on AI development,
- a brand-new "non-human corporation" category for AI/robot-operated entities with limited liability
-a low-tax regime with flexible governance rules.
The Dutch East India Company gave the world the limited liability company in 1602. Milei wants Argentina to do the same for autonomous AI agents in 2026.
Founders always want to know the magic words to convince investors to invest. There aren't any.
The best way to convince investors is for you to be convinced yourself.
Math-based, machine-speed, human managed (verified) democracy is how we stay in control of AGI permanently. This is our research @thestorecloud - we've been deep on the issue since 2019.
Anthropic is calling for top AI labs to weigh slowing the pace of development, suggesting that AI systems are advancing so rapidly that they may soon be able to improve themselves without human intervention in ways that could pose societal risks. https://t.co/8c7xkeX17B
Update: Major breakthrough on STORE Infrastructure costs for Markets. We've been working on this problem for several years and closed out the dynamic nature of pricing today. It'll help us finish our mServices technical specification for pricing.
mServices = what STORE sells
m = machine speed, math-based, human managed (governed)
Amazon sells web services.
STORE sells mServices.
Demis Hassabis says some of his peers are not being careful enough in how they communicate about a fundamentally unknown future
What happens next depends on the actions taken in the next few years
"but society, not just technologists, must take the exponential seriously now"
Carl Jung once said “No matter how isolated you are and how lonely you feel, if you do your work truly and conscientiously, unknown allies will come and seek you.”
Anthropic just published one of the most important AGI documents I’ve read in a long time. Here are my favorite quotes from this article.
“Today, Anthropic engineers on average ship 8x as much code per quarter as they did from 2021-2025.”
“As of May 2026, more than 80% of the code we merge into Anthropic’s codebase was authored by Claude.”
“Claude-written code was somewhat worse than human-written code at Anthropic in late 2025, is roughly at parity today, and we expect it to be strictly better within the year.”
“If this trend holds, tasks that take a skilled person days could come into range this year. In 2027, AI systems could be capable of tasks that take a person weeks.”
“If technical trends in advancing capabilities continue, and AI systems are able to develop the capabilities inherent to transformative human ingenuity, then it is plausible that AI systems could design and refine themselves.”
