� JAMIE VARDY IS NO LONGER AN OPTION FOR WEDNESDAY.

The Jamie Vardy saga is finally over.

The 39-year-old has completed a move to Burnley on a deal until the end of the season, bringing an end to the speculation linking the former Leicester striker with a move to Hillsborough.

Wednesday had shown an interest in bringing the lifelong Owls fan back to S6, with chairman David Storch previously confirming the club were exploring a way to make the deal possible despite the restrictions currently facing the club.

But Vardy is now a Burnley player.
