@AnthonySarich@ausstockchick COVID-19 was the great 'cover': the 'force majeure' that the govt of the day could've blamed a housing correction on. It would have been painful for many in the short-term but a clearing of debt & inefficiency would've set the economy up for longer-term success.

@ausstockchick I know of at least one bank with explicit gender targets at senior levels. Not only do the biz units have them but Talent Acquisition teams supporting their hiring have their own KPIs for at 50% of senior hires to be female (stretch target of 60%). Hiring on merit is long gone
@_Checkmatey_ That's the thing mate. Bitcoin is suddenly on death row if QC all comes to fruition - meanwhile, banks managing a collective of trillions of dollars rely on cryptography for identity, security and trust layers that are critical for their credibility, and even, survival
