Correction: Prof Mariapia Degli-Esposti FAA FAHMS is a world-class immunologist who was fascinated by biology from a very young age. Her work has since provided foundational insights into the functioning of the immune system and its response to viruses, including components that could be harnessed therapeutically. Her studies have addressed the breadth of responses required for effective anti-viral immunity and uncovered the importance of strain-specific antibodies in protecting against viral reactivation and disease. #FellowsAA
Thrilled to share our study in @ImmunityCP introducing “NKRM” long-lived tissue resident memory-like NK cells that prevent immune-mediated damage to safeguard tissue health. Amazing team effort across @MonashBDI & @LionsEyeInstAus LINK: https://t.co/K1dGEEXFpO

Nice article. However with such a low funding success rate, to assume the very best projects are funded is misplaced idealism. Peer review becomes a lottery at best.
Scientific and public health experts, including the trusted Dr. Anthony Fauci, are vital to combating COVID-19 and safely reopening the world. It’s important for all to stand strongly behind them and take their advice. #FollowTheScience#IStandWithFauci
