@DannyDayan5 If I were to hazard a guess the discount in breakevens at the current time reflects competition for capital sucking investment OUT of this market relative to where hot money is flowing IN
@Transve44097443@DannyDayan5@BobEUnlimited@AahanPrometheus Yes exactly. I don’t fully understand “why” breakevens are as “relaxed” as they seem but if the market is being massaged, then it would mean higher not lower inflation breakevens all else equal.
@JavierBlas@Miatsf@Ed_Miliband That Ed Miliband is not Chancellor or energy secretary (and instead foreign) is as much as important as is that Healey is Chancellor. Absolute net zero somewhat restricts much of the flexibility we have economically, through fiscal levers and global competitiveness…
@LukeGromen@Dim_Gamvros Holy moly, so if I disagree a) I show intellectual laziness, and b) I cannot demonstrate depth of thought at a level comparable to you.
Gee that’s engaging 🤪
@Dim_Gamvros@LukeGromen Unfortunately though this doesn’t make the call wrong (even if the theme - predicting Western decay) is permanent in their mind
@Dim_Gamvros@LukeGromen When the opposition scores its first goal being several down it is somewhat illogical to call it the turning point without the specific insight into the subject matter. So it’s hard to disagree with your take - I don’t get it either.
@Richard_Casey I find the account useful to understand narrative being pushed but I don’t find it open or willing to discuss. Similarly the unusually “loyal” followers.
@redpillb0t Curious Putin is saying this just as countries are being brought together to force an end to the status quo of disproportionate Iranian regime leverage over the SoH. Trump knew fine well Iran would do what they did. Putin isn’t wrong. But it’s more likely he just lost.
@anasalhajji Why are so many people replying this vehemently certain Anas’s view is incorrect? It’s consistent enough with what’s been happening in markets since the middle of last year to my mind, to mean it’s plausible.
@TheStalwart@JavierBlas Saudi supply west + floating supply unlocked + additional supply from higher prices + demand destruction + IEA reserve release + limited supply through to SoH via “non hostile” carriers? Does that offset the normal SoH supply redux?
@darioperkins I know this sounds glib but the nuance about standing by to act is possibly a bit lost. According to some ECB “sources” they are are already talking about April and BTP 2y yields went up less than half as much…
@BobEUnlimited Easy answer don’t cut and if there is an inflation problem which aside from the April uplift is unclear there is when looking at the m/m data, then that helps resolve it
@Kahlissee I don’t know what happens and I do not have information to claim what this post does, however, it is possible that this was the least unpalatable option. We should be open minded and consider this. Iran may have been able to use a dirty bomb, for example. So hard to know.
