@sboots WA "Innovation Exemption" is an intriguing model wish I knew more about. Under 100K purchases get a post report that describes outcomes & key insights. Might get more reflection on what works, rather than speculation on why something is sole/single source. https://t.co/Ao6i0jUNj6
Freeway projects and “urban renewal” displaced over 20,000 Bostonians in the 50s and 60s, with the gov’t offering little assistance for those who owned (compensating well below market rate), and no assistance for those who rented. More info here: https://t.co/zL2bqWMcZh
@waldojaquith RI did develop a public performance dashboard tracking projects similarly. Site never went live... but we learned a lot about our reporting inconsistencies, lack API /data/ terms. Helped spur an internal, monthly IT project tracking process which has built shared language & habit
The federal government will conclude the #2020Census a full four weeks earlier than planned, on 9/30. Our September #dataviz shows Census response rates as of 8/31, ranging from over 85% to less than 40% in some tracts

@mzagaja@WheresHJ@elburnett@waldojaquith@MAPCMetroBoston Collective buy / build opportunities are at the heart of our work! Have different flavors, consotium projects like those Matt mentioned, along with services like MassBuilds (collective building resource), Safe Routes to School (commute survey), Local Access Score (travel demand)
@selleck .@selleck you know the answer, we lived it. Digital is a buzzword not a priority for @GovRaimondo and co. Dismantled @RI_ODE and DoIT staff headcount in favor of spending more than double the money on a waterfall project management office, consultants, and IV&V.
Can we get this video on loop @ RI Capitol TV and in the DOA cafeteria? This is a must watch...before deciding on a certain $74 million project... @waldojaquith testimony starts around minute 40. https://t.co/NECJb9nhCM
Decided then to take @MBTA... Which involved one shuddle and two packed, standing room trains at 6:00am on a Sunday. Before I decided to get off and walk 20 min home.
Took me 2 hours to get home to North End from Logan... Spent good amount of time waiting for @lyft at Terminal C. Signs lead you to this "Ride App" pickup which apparently is not the ride app pickup...three diffent drivers couldn't find me.
Crosswalk from here, leads directly into the jersey barriers and construction on left. No path to parking garage. Also GPS is shotty and you are only able to select "Terminal C pickup area" in app.
