@MichaelAArouet next time just tip the server and don't pay the bill. the idea that tips are tiered to quality of service is ludicrous. yes service in the US is better but viewing tips as a reward is disingenuous. like saying your tab should b adjusted to your satisfaction with the meal. gtfo
@nfergus@ianbremmer then you need to define if the the US is 'national interest / strength in its entirety' or the perceived interest of the benefactors of rbo within the United States who see its strength as a derivative of their self iterest. I'd say we are in a very much stronger position, yes.
@hiimandrey@AlexReimer1@curlyfro used to be the frontier and all independent restaurants/retail. lots of groups/developers in the neighborhood now. I would have bought a house there of all three mentioned neighborhoods but after covid everything rocketed up in price so we moved to a new neighborhood further NW
@hkuppy@calvinfroedge Most US maps exclude Puerto Rico because it's an unincorporated territory, not a state, meaning it's subject to US control but not fully integrated into the Union, its Caribbean location and distinct Hispanic culture often lead mapmakers to focus only on the contiguous mainland
@SurlMudgeon@kofinas agree on both sides. she should've listened to law enforcement (obviously she is someone who has never had a bad interaction with the police before - false sense of security around law enforcement ) and the ice agent should lose his job and be subject to civil litigation.
@JennyGooz Wholeheartedly agree. it's easier to change the Republican party than change the democratic party at this point. GOP is big tent - room for all
