@Brobro @NewAgeRetroNerd Storage and ram becoming a problem is totally irrelevant to it being MacOS though, a lot of laptops these days have at least memory soldered. It's not ideal of course but it's not a massive deal imo.

I didn't know MSFT eased their policy on local accounts though, that is good 1/

@Brobro @NewAgeRetroNerd Total rubbish. You can use MacOS without an apple id, easier than you can use modern windows without a MSFT account. No idea where the idea that you need a new one every 3 years is coming from, I've used my air for 4 years and my work MBP is a 2021 M1 Pro, still great!
