This week Tim Martel will be talking about the AECB Standards and the Retrofit Step-by-step approach. It can help you decide the route you could go down, and the benefits available. You can still book your place: https://t.co/wnJZbWU2cY
2nd version of RICS PS for Whole Life Carbon now out! Fortunately I have until July to put it into PHribbon! And I will also increase the number of PHribbon Options (Scenarios) from 4 to probably 10.
How many people think that the AECB PHribbon Embodied CO2 should be able to model up to 10 options/scenarios not 4? It would need a fair re-write, and I'm not sure I could make it compatible with previous versions. Or what other features would you like?
PHribbon https://t.co/0R9cFQSBel v5.15 now out with 10 more EPDs, can use PHPPv10 extra large U-values, new 2023 CO2 factors, can specify a material supplied is 2nd hand and TDUK's end of life scenarios for timber.
https://t.co/BZyL1cM4tn do a 95% lower embodied carbon brick "k-briq", and they are working on an EPD they say will be ready at the end of the summer - will be added to AECB PHribbon!
@MoreOurselves @the_woodlouse @PassivhausTrust@AECBnet @the_iPHA Yes all parts of PHribbon have been updated to be compatible with v10 for UK/Canada versions, it will be available soon. The Window tool now recognises v10 and calcs the new columns! Some entries have further options.
@mwt2008@ClemCowton@JonathanWaxman1 Amory Lovins, Physicist at the Rocky Mountain Institute pointed out in his lecture series in 2007 that very little of that energy actually goes to moving the driver. I did a survey in my area, over 90% of cars only had the driver. Pity we can't have smaller cars!
What? No Carbon Emissions Bill? Withdrawn 14th Mar or other info suggest the day after the first reading. No reason given, no media coverage about it at all. It was going to have its 2nd reading tomorrow.
On 15 March Green Building Store's @billbutch & @ChrisHerring164 will join @TimMartelAT for a FREE @AECBnet webinar sharing a comparative PHribbon study looking at the embodied carbon of different building methods for a Passivhaus newbuild. https://t.co/rEL1qkDMww
TODAY @ 2pm GMT/9am ET | Remember to join us for the fifth #BPI Episode 'PHribbon calculates the embodied carbon in a new masonry building', presented by @PHAccelerator, co-hosted by @partelhw, Mike Jacob, @BenAdamSmith, with @TimMartelAT as special guest. https://t.co/j4Wz7ZaHy7
@lloydalter@TimMartelAT @the_phnetwork Made time tonight to watch the intro to @the_phnetwork’s PHribbon you include here. Super exciting to see how this it includes #EC3 database, adds @EPA electric grid factors + structure for full end of life analysis. This is where policymakers need to be heading. (@CalEnergy)
@constructionlca@duncancbaker@jannikgiesekam@JulieG@Simonsturgis Please take a few moments to give your support to Part Z to regulate Embodied CO2 in the UK, it is proposed to introduce it gradually over the next 5 years. Software to calculate it is already available, e.g. AECB PHribbon and Embodied Carbon Calculator https://t.co/1BaplT6lw0
Excellent that @duncancbaker's 10 Minute Rule Motion on Regulating Embodied Carbon was received positively and will have its second reading on Friday 18th March. Well done to all involved. To see the action today, https://t.co/G3hefcAtGu from 16:27:20 onward.
