@bicycal_life I’ve been cycling in London for 20+ years and generally it’s got a lot better.
However, the arrival of high-powered, illegal e-bikes combined with a rapid increase wazzocks on wheels is getting annoying.
@colinwalker79 As UK citizens we don’t have a good record on referendums.
Often we don’t understand the question, vote for self-harm and fail to understand the evidence before us.
It’s a national affliction.
@ThatAlexWoman The more exposure Reform have the less people seem to like them…. and it’s no secret FPTP constituency voting means governments aren’t representative. Margaret Thatcher only got 42% of the vote… it’s not a conspiracy, it’s simple maths.
@LeoMars75 We need choice and apprenticeships should be expanded. My son was looking at the @JohnDeere training & apprentice schemes and they are amazing. He’s very excited and will be applying in a few years - real skills in something that interests him. Win-win.
‘Why I ditched my Tesla for a 12-year-old petrol car’. Can’t see past the paywall but guessing it doesn’t labour much on there being more than 452,000 plug-in hybrid and battery-electric cars in the UK with EVs showing a growth of 41% on 2022… https://t.co/jdmVqvbP0v
@theJeremyVine On my commute into London I’d guess that 30% of cyclists and a similar % of drivers are Wallopers.
The best answer would be for this group to move to Walloping Meadows together and leave the rest of us to it.
@carlboland@ListerLawrence The RR SVR will plummet in value like a stone if it’s not stolen first … whereas the Dakar will drop glacially.
Neither is a great investment… you’d be better off with a GT3
@ListerLawrence Not quite as obnoxious as a BMW M6 but certainly at DEFCON 2 levels …
Feel free to buy a RR if you live on a farm and are a fully paid up member of the NFU but for the rest of the world just don’t.
@ColinBrazierTV … and yet, if you look at that most emblematic of crimes, murder the rate has actually fallen over the last 20 years … but, hey don’t let facts get in the way of your narrative
@BGatesIsaPyscho They are criminals. Whether you like ULEZ or not, we live in a democracy. ULEZ (a Tory policy) was instigated and Londoners re-elected the Mayor who implemented it.
If you don’t like it use the ballot box. Don’t use balaclavas and angle grinders.
